For the backing I used this DS Quilts fabric which I got for $3 a yard a Joann's! I think it works nicely with the quilt and I am loving plaids lately so of course I bought the rest of the bolt :)
I also finished up my January do Good Stitches blocks today. Caitlin had asked us to make 1 or 2 Arkansas Traveler blocks using this tutorial with this photo as our color inspiration. The color combination is very pretty, I think that the finished quilt is going to be gorgeous!
Beautiful quilt! I love the backing and the way you quilted it. (And I wish my Joanns had that plaid fabric for $3/yard!) And your quilt blocks are so pretty. I enjoying putting this block together and am going to try to get a second block made this weekend.
ReplyDeleteBoth projects are lovely.

ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I could find $3 fabric!!!

ReplyDeleteLove your quilt! I am putting borders on the September quilt and sending it off to be quilted.
ReplyDeleteDS fabric for $3 a yard??? I'm heading to my Joann's today!
Love the blocks and the quilt - great find for the backing!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt turned out so well!! It looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous. I've been collecting all the DS clearance at Joann's, and I never saw that print. I have quite a mountain, but I am still amazed when I see a print that I didn't find.
