Moda included a bag of notions in the box. It is so fun to get little treats like this, I especially love these cute little embroidery scissors. They make such a satisfying "snip" sound.
This tag was still attached to the quilt. It was pretty thrilling to see my name on the tag, I'm definitely keeping this :)
The last few days I have been working on another baby quilt (well, one of the days I added another row to my Maple Leaf Rag quilt, but I didn't get a photo). My sister is expecting her third child next month and we are going to see her when we head to Utah for spring break so I need to get this finished up soon.
I pinned this quilt a while back and thought I would try out this design with Sarah Jane's Out to Sea fabric.
And lastly, everyone has been talking about the end of Google Reader. I have been trying out both Feedly and Bloglovin. I think I prefer Feedly, but I am giving Bloglovin a try since it seems to be a popular choice.
I saw your posy quilt on quite a few photos from quiltcon! How fun to get extra goodies and the fun little tag for a memory. The stars quilt will be really cute with that fabric. I'm doing bloglovin because it seems like everyone's doing it and I guess I'm just a follower....haha
ReplyDeleteThe satisfying scissor sound really does add to the enjoyment, doesn't it? I love hearing my Gingher shears when they're nice and sharp.
ReplyDeleteI love a fresh pair of scissors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt Erica, and your daughter is a real sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI tried Bloglovin but deleted it again because I couldn't find a way to read the full post in a single window, and I usually get around 75-80 articles a day (I follow too many blogs!) so it isn't practical to click through on them all. Does Feedly have that as an option, or can anyone tell me which one would do the trick?
ReplyDeleteAnd meant to add - I love the quilt! Sorry for missing that part out.
DeleteI saw your Cozy Posy Triangle Quilt on Pinterest and have decided to make it for my granddaughter. There were directions but I have questions and I hope it's okay to ask them here.
ReplyDeleteHow do you know which triangles are A, B, C, or D? Are there directions that I could print out?
Wonderful! I tried to respond to you directly, but you don't have an email associated with your account so I hope that you check back here. At the bottom of the Moda Bake Shop post with the directions, you can click to open a "Printer Friendly Version." To know which triangles are A, B, C, or D, just refer to the image of my quilt. I'm sorry, I wrote this tutorial several years ago and was pretty new to writing direction so it is not as thorough as I would like.
DeleteErica, You are so kind. Thank you very much. I will follow your directions and print what I need. If I can figure out how to associate an email with my account, I'll certainly do that too! Thank you again.
ReplyDeleteI want those fresh and clean embroidery scissors too and the baby quilt is 'SEW CUTE'!
