It is BIG. The finished size will be 81" square.
Future projects:
- I recently found out that one of my friends is expecting a baby girl and I am planning on making quilt for her. It needs to be done soon because she lives on the other side of the country, but I would like to give it to her while she is visiting Southern California next month.
- End of the school year presents for my daughter's teachers.
- Super tote. I can't resist anymore. I just need to get some cording for the piping and then I will get to work on this one.
The quilt looks great, and wow, you brought that together really quick!!
ReplyDeleteThe super tote is awesome. I didn't do piping and I couldn't find any in a colour I liked at the fabric store, so what I did was make the pocket facing 1/2" wider than called for, sewed it down right sides facing with pocket piece with a 1/4" seam, then flipped it around to the back. It turned out great and really resembles piping in my opinion.
Like your hubby's quilt. Your pattern?
ReplyDeleteLove that quilt! I just made a Super Tote (I blogged about it on Monday--I made mine a little smaller than the pattern).
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Ron Swanson quilt from Happy Zombie? We love Parks and Rec too, and I am halfway done with making Ron's face quilt for my husband. I giggle every time I think about him using it!
ReplyDeleteThat is a super awesome quilt! And the best use I've seen of Constellations. Can't wait to see your upcoming projects :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Constellations quilt! It looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've been debating on picking up the Super Tote pattern, i do need a new bag, and i'm waiting on some Melody Miller prints to come in the mail...
Can't wait to see yours!
great pattern for that line of fabric with the stars featured in the center. the super tote looks like the new craze, good luck with it.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL! Love the stair-stepped stars :) Also, as a fellow Parks (among other things) addict, I highly recommend watching {while} sewing (I actually have limited my netflix/hulu use to my sewing room so I don't get sucked into an impromptu marathon on the couch :) Either way you clearly have managed to accomplish a great deal!
ReplyDeleteI love love love that show!
ReplyDeleteI have never watched that show--must be good!
ReplyDeleteYour constellations top is so cool!!
I LOVE Parks and Rec! And your quilt is pretty awesome too~
ReplyDeleteI am so very in love with that quilt!
ReplyDeleteOoh, another Parks and Rec fan! We are about a year behind the US in terms of episodes shown here - please don't let out any spoilers ;-) I LOVE the quilt you're making for your hubby - I love a good man quilt. I think you've hit the perfact combination of manly but not dull!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern. Also love the diagonal rows of stars.
