Have you ever seen a fabric print that you thought you couldn't live without? There are plenty of prints and collections that I really, really want, but a couple weeks ago I was scrolling through blogs on my phone and saw this post. I had to have that teal print.

I had a difficult time tracking the print down, but I finally found it on Fabricworm (they are sold out, but it is available here). The fabric arrived last week and did not disappoint. It is so soft and bright and I am in love with it. This photo does not do it justice at all.
Now I just need to decide what to do with it! Have you ever had a print that you couldn't live without!
That is a great print. I have been obsessed with bicycle prints lately. I don't have a specific project for them, but I feel like I have to buy them every one I see!

Oh, I'd Staple Dress that double gauze, in half a second. It's gorgeous. BUT I don't feel like I HAVE to have that one! It's wonderful how personal and specific those moments are. I'm having dreams at night about some Liberty Lawn I saw and resisted buying on Sunday, and I'm hoping to treat MAH self soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you will post about how using the double gauze as a quilt back works out. I bet it will be super soft and lovely, but hope it doesn't give you fits.
Beautiful fabric! I would really like to treat ma'self to some fine leather goods. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't live with just about every fabric if truth be told;-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this ep of parks and rec! :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! I got the reference right away because my husband and I use it all the time. :)
ReplyDeleteAND YES. The answer is YES I do see fabric I can't live without pretty much every day.
I can totally understand why you HAD to have that one. I bought some double gauze for my last quilt and loved the feel of it, I know it would be gorgeous as a tee/top. I'm drooling over some Nani Iro nuance in Muji Viol right now the colour is very special.
ReplyDeleteAwesome dots! Love those.
ReplyDeleteI have had lots of fabric crushes my most recent was simply color and I bought as much as I could afford.
ReplyDeleteI think we all I know I have buying problems. ;). Love that print. Glad you were able to find it!
ReplyDeletelove that fabric! I felt that way about the Carnaby Street, and Marmalade lines. I literally drooled over both of them until I finally got them.

That is a fantastic print! I am jealous that you got some :) And I can't wait to see what you do with it!
ReplyDeleteI've used this fabric before for an entire customer quilt and it was a dream. So soft and easy to work with. I've seen film in the fridge use it for shirts and it's on my sewing bucket list.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is dreamy.
Gorgeous, i was the same way with a Nani Iro double gauze that i picked up last year... so delicious and how i wish i could find more of it! I had planed on using it for a binding on one of my quilts but didn't have it in me to cut into little strips... so i made a figure 8 scarf, that i never wear! I should have just used it for the binding, at least i'd enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteOh Erica I loved reading everything in this post. Treat. Yo. Sel? I mean commmmmon! Love me some P&R and anyway that reference can tie in haha. I saw the same post on true up and am desperate for one of those Nani Iro prints - the other teal one (but I have yet to track it down yet). I made a shirt with her double glaze and am in love with it.
ReplyDeleteYay, Parks and Rec! I want to try Nano for quilt back too. Do you think it will wear well or is it as delicate as voile?
