At Dusk Quilt

Earlier this year I designed a project using Kona cottons and submitted it to Quilty.  A few weeks after it was accepted, I found out that Quilty was going to stop producing new issues and my quilt wasn't going to be published.

Soon after this the good people at Robert Kaufman asked me if I would be interested in making the quilt for them and having it released as a free pattern.  Yes I would!
This quilt uses almost all of my favorite Kona colors and come together pretty quickly considering that it is a 60"x75" quilt.  You can find more details about the quilt here and the free pattern will be available soon.

I think I will be back to posting more regularly.  I appreciate all of the support in my efforts to make my time here more meaningful and hope to be making more posts that are helpful (tips, tutorials, etc.).  I also am going to be doing a little redesigning so if things might start looking a little different soon.

    Your family ad your quilt are beautiful, and the picture of your new baby is so beautiful, I love your quilt and I find it a great lose that quality did not give there magazine a chance, your quilt would have been an inspiration for them, enjoy that beautiful baby. GOD bless

    I LOVE your quilt design! Lately I'm just drawn to projects with geometric shapes, rainbow colors and ombre. Can't wait to try to make this one. And your little baby is adorable - all that cute hair! :-)

    It's a wonderful quilt! I'm glad the pattern will be available, that really worked out well. As much as I love the quilt, I must say that the baby picture steals the show. A beautiful wedding photo, too. Thank you for sharing.

    I really like the little square within a square quilting-or is that the pattern on the background fabric? Either way, I love the effect.

    I absolutely love your quilt pattern. Your use of color is amazing and the quilting is fabulous. I'm so happy your pattern is going to get the big audience it deserves (and selfishly very happy too, for knowing I'll get to see how you made this stunner).

    I love your quilt, those centre triangles really hit you in the eye and the use of those different greys makes it look so 3D! I'm a Kona lover myself and love to see how people use them to such great effect, well done!
