Ta da! It turned out not to be that crazy challenging (I used this ruler) and it turned out to be the perfect pattern for the Wee Wander fat quarter bundle I have had on my shelf for a few months. I did add a few fabrics to mix things up, and I fussy cut the center of the blocks though my options were limited for fussy cutting since I was cutting from fat quarters and the fabrics have a fairly large repeat.
The most challenging part was definitely binding the inside corners. I could use some practice, but I think I kind of figured it out.
The backing is another Wee Wander print. I debated what to do with this finished quilt, since it is a good size for a baby or a floor mat, but I think I am going to hang it on the wall in my sewing room.
In other news, I have my hands full these days. In addition to our 3 children, we now have an 8 week Labradoodle named Pepper in the house. This was a spur of the moment decision and has been a little crazy, but she sure is cute!
What a happy colourful quilt - I'd have to put it on my wall too.
ReplyDeleteAdorable. This quilt is on my bucket list too. I can't seem to follow the link on the ruler. Can you tell me which one you used?
ReplyDeleteHow cute is Pepper?! What an exciting edition!!! What do the kids think? The double wedding ring is on my list too. I like the slight variation in shades of pink/peach in yours.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt, beautiful colors! And congrats of the new addition!

Such a gorgeous quilt, Erica! Yes, we brought home 2 puppies when my girls were little...instant insanity. It took me almost 2 years to get things under control, but I love those dogs to pieces!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, the puppy is adorable.
ReplyDeleteAww... I love your little quilt holder Erica! And your sweet puppy too.

Such a pretty quilt, I have never thought about that pattern as a baby quilt but it works really well! I am green with envy about the puppy too!

ReplyDeletewow! What a fabulous quilt. All those curves and fancy binding! I think this would have to stay on my bucket list for rather a long time until I improve my skills, a lot!
