Fussy Cut Sampler QAL - Blocks 13-16

Chapter 4 in the Fussy Cut Sampler is about precision fussy cutting.

Block 13 focuses on centering a large motif.  I have had this purple cat print sitting out on my cutting table, just waiting for the right block to use it in the quilt along, so when I noticed that it mentioned this AMH print I knew I had to use them together!

For Block 14 I used this Heather Ross frog print.  I really like that this block has a place to show off different parts of the print all grouped together in one block.

Bock 15.  I think a lot of people have this Lizzy House print so it has been showing up quite a bit in the quilt along photos on Instagram.  This block is supposed to emphasize mirroring.  Mine turned out pretty subtle, but if you look closely you can see that the orange flying geese each mirror each other.

Block 16.  This block is supposed to focus on the border.  Mine ended up kind of bright but it is full of my favorite colors.

The quilt along is taking place over on Instagram - check out #thefussycutsamplerqal to see everyone's blocks.

  1. Great job! This looks like a lot of fun. I did buy the book but that's as far as I've gotten. :(

  3. Piece 13 concentrates on focusing a vast theme. I have had this purple feline print sitting out on my cutting table, simply sitting tight for the correct piece to utilize it in the stitch along. Dissertation Writing Service UK
