Almost all of the fabrics were from my stash, but I bought a couple of blue and green prints to help fill things in.
The quilt is 64" x 76," so it is a very generously sized lap quilt.
I didn't want the quilting to distract from the pattern, so I quilted about 1/2" on each side of the seams.
This was a hard one to put in the mail. The color combination is so happy! I really love the pink and purple aloe print on the back.
Finished size: 64" x 76"
Fabric: Various Anna Maria Horner prints
Backing: Pretty Potent Aloe Vera
Batting: Quilter's Dream Cotton Select
Yes, I can see why that would be a hard one to part with.
ReplyDeleteIt was, thanks!
DeleteThis is beautiful! :D
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You have a very nice stash! :) What size are the squares and HST's?
ReplyDeleteI already mailed it off and I didn't write down the measurements, but I believe they were 4.5" finished.
DeleteStunning. I love this. I just know you had a great time placing each piece. This quilt is so pleasing to look at. Just beautiful
ReplyDeleteThanks, you are right. There are some fabrics that I hold a little more lovingly than others!

ReplyDeleteWow! What a lovely quilt!
ReplyDeleteI am struggling a little with my quilting. I quilt on my sewing machine and I'm still working at getting good at it! Your lovely quilt was great without complicated quilting! Thank you for a great example all around!
