Marian (aka Miss Mustard Seed) is a new designer for FreeSpirit fabrics and has a really adorable new collection called Bunnies, Birds, and Blooms.
The fabrics in the collection are really beautiful and include some milk paint solids - I always appreciate when a designer includes a solid or a near-solid in their collection.
For my project in the Instagram Tour I used my Eliza Pattern. I recently added a print version of the pattern and went back and improved the graphics in the digital version and it was a great excuse to give the pattern a little test.

Such a pretty quilt and fabric collection! Can you tell me please, what is a milk paint solid?
ReplyDeleteThat's a good question, sorry I didn't explain in the post! The designer of the collection has a line of milk paints which (from what I understand) have kind of muted colors and a rustic look to them. There are solids in the collection that mimic that look, so they are a little muted and have some texture to them.
DeleteLovely quilt!
ReplyDeleteFabrics look so soft and colourful. Love your quilt.
ReplyDeleteDid you use a Kona solid for the grey in this quilt or one of the milk prints? Love how this quilt turned out.
ReplyDeleteI used a Kona - I think it was Pewter but I'm not positive.
