I finally got around to finishing this Imagined Landscapes quilt. Lately it feels like I have less time to sew than ever and it is really taking a toll on my morale. It is amazing how therapeutic sewing can be, and how much I miss it when I am busy.
This collection is just beautiful. All of the blues and teals and golds and pinks are some of my favorite colors and the fabrics have a really lovely depth to them.
When I posted photos of the quilt top a couple weeks ago, there were some comments that people didn't exactly like these fabrics. I know that not everyone is going to be on board with every collection or love everything and I think that is great and respect that, but I do really like these fabrics.
I made this quilt with my Mary Quilt pattern and the more I make the pattern, the more I enjoy it. For the backing, I picked up some yardage of my favorite print in the collection. The binding is hand sewn to the back with my normal big stitch method.
Sewtopia was kind enough to put together a kit so you can make your own Mary Quilt with Imagined Landscapes.
You can find The Mary Quilt pattern in my shop as both a PDF or paper pattern.

DeleteI like the pattern and the fabrics. I think this pattern is perfect for these landscapey kind of designs. You did a magical job.
ReplyDeleteI get discouraged too. I am so busy with taking care of my daddy, empty next with hubby, 4 grand daughters. Jeez. I just need time, and I am also rather slow now. I am not a decrepit olden lady, I just am slow LOL
It is so hard to find time. I always think that I will have more time when my kids are in school, but I never do!
DeleteThe fabrics may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love them, and I think the quilt is stunning! Definitely one of my favorites from your recent quilts!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love the fabrics, and they are so soft!

This demonstrates that if you let your imagination works for you, things that appear to be difficult to have can be yours in the event that you will work for it. Like on the off chance that you need to have your very own garden and you just have a little space of land to use. I find a very good website for the Barbecue Cleaning Scottsdale AZ, If you want you can visit this site. Thank you
