Writing this post earlier this week reminded me of a quilt that I had never shared with you - this is a baby size version of the Naomi Quilt Pattern.
I have a pretty large stash of baby size backing fabrics in my stash - but most of my friends are done having kids so I rarely make baby quilts this days. But I've decided I'm just going to make them anyway.
This backing print is from that stash. I picked it up a few years ago because it is my favorite shade of purple and I loved the pinks. Since I loved the colors in the print, I thought it would be fun to use those colors in the quilt.
I pulled a variety of pink, purple, and peach fabrics from my stash and then decided to be daring and pull out some yellows. Yellow isn't my favorite, but it felt like it worked here and warmed up the color palette. Plus, the other colors in the quilt are my favorites so I knew I figured sneaking in some yellow would work out ok.
It turns out that a couple of my friends are having babies in the near future, but they are both having boys so this one will go on the shelf for a bit until I find the right home for it. It was a really fun, quick project though and making baby quilts always reminds me that I should make more baby quilts!
If you would like to make your own version of the Naomi Quilt, you can pick up a copy in the shop.
