The Beatrice Quilt - Vessel Version

The Beatrice Quilt on the cover of the pattern uses a new collection by Alexia Abegg called Vessel. It is pretty certain that if I put the fabric on the cover of the pattern, I kinda love it and this collection is no exception.

If you follow Alexia on Instagram, you might have seen some of the beautiful pottery work that she does. It always amazes me to see artists work in different mediums - she is so talented! This collection is inspired by her pottery and uses a really range of beautiful, earthy tones and lots of versatile prints. It was a joy to work with.

This quilt used fat eighths, which are such a fun way to get a variety of prints. Each fabric is represented twice. I love how the pattern works well with directional prints - no upside down pottery in this quilt!

The backing fabric is the navy Vessel print and the binding is navy solid. This simple print for the backing plus the solid binding felt fitting for this quilt - I wanted the fabric to shine for itself.

This collection will be available soon (hopefully next month). If you would like to make your own version of the Beatrice Quilt, you can pick up a copy in the shop!
