But then I wanted to make the quilt. It is one of my favorite recent collections with one of my favorite patterns, so of course I wanted to make it. I want to make lots of quilts though, so I told myself "no!" and went on with other projects.
Fast forward a few weeks and I just kept wanting to make the quilt. I had some leftover Stay Gold prints from this quilt so I really just had to buy the panel to make the quilt + a little yardage from a couple of prints for the plus shapes. I couldn't help myself.
Here is the original mockup. Since I was using leftovers, my actual quilt ended up slightly different than my plan but I love it. This is the first quilt I have made for a while that I don't think I can part with.
Plus, since the panel has lots of prints and I didn't even come close to using them all, I am going to hang onto them for a scrap quilt. I am actually thinking of doing a sampler scrap quilt. Would that be crazy?
If you would like to make your own version of the Judy Quilt, you can pick up a copy in the shop. Stay Gold and the panel are pretty widely available and it is a collection you do not want to miss.
