The Iris Quilt in Tiny Beasts

I am a huge fan of Tula Pink's fabrics. In fact, one of my favorite quilts that I have ever made is the original Iris Quilt using her True Colors prints. The colors are just magical.

Many of her collections feature larger scale graphics that make them perfect for patterns like Tessa or Judy and less perfect for patterns like Iris. True Colors was an exception to this and now there is another exception: Tiny Beasts. This has the super cute graphics but on a smaller scale.

You get all of that wonderful Tula Pink color without having to chop raccoons and squirrels into tiny pieces. There are also some new True Colors Tiny Coordinates prints, including the pinkish/purple stripe that I used for the sashing. I love that the stripe is really subtle but it gives a fun detail to the quilt.

The backing is a 108" wide Tula Pink print that I have used several times (see here, here, and here) and will keep buying because it is so versatile and I love not having to piece the backing.

The binding is a pink and purple stripe (love it) from the True Colors Tiny Coordinates collection. I know I already said this once, but I love that subtle stripe. It's so good!

Iris is one of those patterns that I know I will keep making over and over - it's quick, jelly roll or fat quarter friendly, and it can be made with scraps. If you would like to make your own version of the Iris Quilt, you can pick up a copy in the shop. Tiny Beasts is due in shops any day now and lots of places are taking preorders so watch out for it!

(p.s. If you saw those ladybugs and thought that you needed even bigger lady bugs, there is the cutest 108" wide backing fabric that I can't wait to get my hands on!)
