Quilt held by my sister-in-law, thanks Denise! |
I quilted it with an "organic" grid again. It isn't precise or perfect looking, but I love the feel it gives to the finished quilt.
My color inspiration came from this great Sarah Jane quilt. That bunny is too cute.
The binding fabric is a new favorite: Kona Punch.
Finished size: 40" x 49"
Binding: Kona Punch (available here)
Batting: Quilter's Dream Cotton Select
This quilt is now listed in my Etsy shop.
Love this quilt and the variety of pink fabrics you used! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOkay, wow, yup! I LOVE everything about this quilt! I did that one day, just up and made a pink quilt! Loved it, did it in simple circles. I love the Alison Glass fabrics you used!
ReplyDeleteDo you have "leftovers" from this quilt??? Would you want to do a scrap exchange? I have some that we could see if you would like to have...
ReplyDeleteI love it! Very cute and happy.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely quilt, and I'd find that bunny inspiring, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is soo cute, and adorable. I love it
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is really sweet
such a pretty quilt I thought oh no all those y seams but looking closer see they are half hexies so much easier to do

LOVE the "organic" grid quilting Erica! I think that's what discourages me from grid quilting the most...having to worry about the straightness or evenness of my lines. I will have to give this a try!
ReplyDeleteI too have recently realized that I love pink in all of its shades. I love giant hexagons.
ReplyDeleteI'm a pink person too! I've never worked with hexagons as they always seemed too teeny tiny, but maybe big ones like yours would work out OK for me. Did you use an acrylic shape to cut them with? Congratulations on your lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteOh just love a pretty baby girl quilt! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteJust found you on Crazy Mom Quilts. Love that pink hexi quilt! You just can't go wrong with BRIGHT colors. I love them!
