I have also been shopping for my family for Christmas and in the process, came across a few things that you might need in your lives.
1. Patchwork Board Game - Did you know that there is a quilting board game? And it is well reviewed and is supposed to be fun for quilters and non-quilters? This one is going under our tree this year.
2. Blanket Ladder
3. An "investment" ruler - These are one of those things that are too expensive to justify buying on a normal day, but they are super useful so they make a great gift. This is one of my favorites and I use it All. The. Time.
4. A Nice Ironing Board - I have given up on expensive irons because it seems like all irons break, no matter how expensive they are. But an ironing board that I don't easily knock over and that I don't mind ironing on is worth some money.
5. An Instant Pot - Technically this doesn't have anything to do with sewing, but if you are spending less time making dinner, you have more time to sew. I got one of these on Black Friday and have already used it a few times a week.
I hope you all have a happy holiday! Hopefully I will have at least one project to share before the end of the year and I should have my sewing room ready to share soon too. Thanks for all of your support and kind words over this last crazy year. I would have never guessed at the beginning of 2016 that I would be living in Oregon by the end of the year, but we are so happy to be here.
Funny, it's my husband who wants the Patchwork Game for Christmas. It's a neat theme but it's a good game too. :-)
ReplyDeleteErica, I loved your post. Those were some helpful tips. I need to check into that insta pot. LOL

I actually received the game as a gift. It was easy enough to learn to play, and actually pretty fun. I'd add a pressing board to the ironing board idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LGbXou_u4c.
ReplyDeleteGreat list.I use instant pot when I no have many time to cook.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
ha! I love that you included the cooker. Indeed, that's infallible logic!
ReplyDeleteI got the Patchwork Game for Christmas last year and we love it! There is not too make board games that you can play with just two people, and many games that are made for 2+ people are just less fun. I agree with this: highly recommended!
ReplyDeleteI am happy I discovered this and got the opportunity to peruse it. Incredible employment on this substance. I like it. Using the un-official subreddit for Pikdo- Share your posts, ask questions and get feedback on your account. Come join our great page.
