The blocks in this book are nice because there aren't a lot of tiny pieces, and they focus on trying to get the most visual impact from each fabric.

I tend to be a little careless about directional fabrics, but this has made me think a little bit more about how fabrics are presented.

It's not too late to join in!  The QAL will be making 4 blocks each week and each week has different prizes.

Erica, The fussy cut of the fabrics definitely adds to the entire feel of the blocks. You've done a fantastic job with yours. Thanks for sharing your blocks. --Andrea
ReplyDeleteYeah, the farmers wife qal was a challenge. I do love these blocks and the fabrics you chose are just perfect!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you have done, I rarely fussy cut although I do love the results. x
ReplyDeleteI love the blocks, especially the little pinwheels! I don't have enough novelty prints to do this QAL, but I wish I did because it looks fun. I'll just follow your progress :-)
ReplyDeleteI love all your blocks, especially the one with that cute little mousey. I'm with you about tiny little pieces - just not my thing. Maybe I'll look into this QAL. I need a new project. Not that I don't have plenty of UFOs. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks and how you inserted those fussy-cut pieces!
