It is a perfect choice if this is your first ever quilt, but also fun for more experienced sewers because you can do so many fun things with color and value. The pattern has a section with tips on how to choose fabrics for your quilt. The pattern is available in two sizes:
Baby Size - 37" x 45"
Lap Size - 53" x 69"
The PDF version of the pattern is available immediately and the paper version is available for preorder - it will ship as soon as I get them from the printer (probably sometime next week).
This pattern was inspired by the Gleaned quilt I made a few months ago and I decided to make this one with Carolyn Friedlander's fabrics, too. I am increasingly drawn toward quilts that are simply constructed, but that are made exciting and versatile by fabric choice. This falls right into that category.
I could not have made this pattern without the help of my wonderful pattern testers.
Laura's Baby Size Quilt (@stitchstitchrepeat)
How adorable is this? Laura used a gorgeous selection of Cotton + Steel prints for her quilt and I love how it lets the details in the fabrics shine.
Isabelle's Baby Size Quilt (@southbaybella)
Isabelle used a selection of fabrics that give her quilt a bright, scrappy look.
Angela's Lap Size quilt (@spicyredhead)
Angela used a variety of striking neutral fabrics.
I hope you enjoy this pattern - head over to my shop to pick up your PDF or paper version.
It's always so fun to see how fabric selection changes the look of a pattern. Congrats on another pattern release. It looks like a fun one to make!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I agree - seeing different versions is one of my favorite things about writing patterns!
