Even though I have been squeezing some sewing time in this summer, I am desperately behind. Of course my deadlines are pretty artificial - I made them so I can break them - but it has left me a little bummed out. In addition, my son has been pretty sick and until a couple of days ago we didn't know why (he's okay, it's nothing serious) and that has been a huge drain on me emotionally. I am hoping to stay on schedule with my Giant Block Tutorials, but if I get a few days behind, I apologize.
Which brings me to the June Culcita Box Unboxing, which I had scheduled for last week, but I am just posting today.
The fabrics this month are from Palm Canyon. They are mixed with some linen, have a great combination of different textures and tones. They have a really cool Mid-Century Modern vibe.
I don't have a definite plan for the fabrics yet, but I am thinking triangles? I'm not sure, but I am thinking that these will make a fun, not-super girly baby quilt.
The box also has some SewTites which are a magnetic pin replacement. I am really interested in trying some different uses for these - maybe for attaching binding or even basting a small project.
