Do you ever see a fabric collection and think, "I have got to make something with that!" Let's be honest here, that happens all of the time, but most recently this happened with Amy Smart's Sunnyside Ave fabrics.
This colors in the collection are a little more traditional than my norm, but I just fell in love with it. I thought it would be perfect with my Even-Steven Pattern.
A fat quarter bundle of the fabrics was perfect for the pattern - it used all but one of the prints. The background fabric is Kona White and the binding is Kona Navy.
The backing fabric is a gingham print from the collection and it is so fun and happy. I did my normal organic crosshatch for the quilting and sewed the binding down with big stitches.
This one would make the PERFECT teacher gift.
If you are interested in making your own version of this quilt, the Even-Steven Quilt Pattern is available in my shop and it is super beginner friendly.
I have also put together a bundle of my most popular beginner patterns; each one would be perfect for a first time quilter but are also a great, quick project for anyone.
