And it is pretty epic. I decided to use my Modern Postage Stamp Pattern because it is quick and easy and would let the fabrics shine, while also showcasing the sashing print.
The hot pink accents in this collection are wonderful. Tula Pink fabrics usually pack a lot of punch, but Zuma has some extra magic.
For the backing fabric I decided that this quilt really needed another Zuma print so I ordered the White Caps print in Aquamarine. The binding is a Tula Pink solid that I had in my collection and it is a very un-subtle cobalt blue.
For the quilting, I did a simple crosshatch. Because the squares in this quilt are on the smaller side, I skipped marking the lines and just eyeballed them.
Finished Size: 38" x 46"
Pattern: Modern Postage Stamp Quilt
Batting: Happy Cloud Cotton Batting (excellent batting, currently on sale for a steal!)
Fabric: Zuma by Tula Pink
This quilt is so so pretty. I want to make one for my grand daughter
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think that sounds like a great idea ;)
DeleteOh this is lovely! I might be seeing one of these in my future. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! I've been intrigued by the postage stamp quilts, but the thought seemed pretty daunting. With these borders, it really is a nice touch, that takes some of my intrepidation away. Thanks a bunch!
