It is great for scraps or to bust through some of your stash (I am doing a little of both for my quilt). Normally I wouldn't post a tutorial before I have finished my own version, but since Valentine's Day is in a week, I wanted to make it available ASAP. My version is going to be very scrappy, but you could also make the quilt with limited fabrics like I did in my table runner version.
The tutorial has directions for making a single block and then details on making a wall hanging, baby size, lap size, or full size quilt.
I am only one block into my own quilt so I better get to work if I am going to finish in a week!
The tutorial is available here. And while you are in my shop, make sure to check out the PDF and Paper Patterns!
Thank you so very much for this free quilt pattern and idea! I have been cutting up 2.5 squares from my purple stash basket - and wondering which pattern to use for all these lovelies. Perfect timing :)!
ReplyDeleteYay, I am glad you can put the tutorial to good use!
DeleteWhoa! That is a TON of little squares to sew! I look forward to seeing the final result. :)
