Isn't it fun? I really enjoyed working with some new Ruby Star Society prints for my quilt. They are SO soft and SO beautiful, I was super impressed with the quality and they just sing in this quilt.
Here are a few things that I love about the pattern:
- It works with lots of different fabric combinations - you can see in my pattern testers' quilts below that there are lots of fun options for color placement.
- The quilt is not difficult to piece - there are no y-seams! I have given this quilt an "intermediate" difficulty rating because trimming the quilt top can be a teensy bit tricky for the larger sizes, but it is not a hard quilt to put together.
- It shows off your fabrics without cutting them into tiny pieces.
- It is quick - the quilt top is strip pieced.
The pattern has options for baby, lap, and twin sizes and is available as a PDF or paper pattern. I will share more photos and info about my quilt on Friday.
My pattern testers were so fantastic with helping me make sure that is pattern is clear and easy to understand (and error-free)! I am excited to share their quilts with you.
Oh! I love this pattern!!! I have so many on my 'to make' list now I'll need two more lifetimes to get to them all - but this one certainly has been added!!
ReplyDeleteI understand how that goes - I just need to freeze time for a few dozen years and maybe I will have time to make everything I want to make ;)
DeleteI love this quilt. It definitely has the "how was this made?" factor! It is great to see all the variations & colours. It is definitely a pin for future quilts!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love writing patterns that are easier than they look and this is no exception ;)
DeleteThat was so fun seeing all the tester's different versions of this pattern! What a great way to showcase beautiful fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the tester's versions, it's one of my favorite parts about writing a pattern!
DeleteI REALLY love everyone's contribution to test your pattern. I approve!
ReplyDeleteAll of these quilts are so exceptional, great colors and contrasts.
Aren't they all amazing? I love seeing what everyone does with the pattern!
DeleteDo you have directions for a KING size quilt?
ReplyDeleteJudy
I don't, I'm sorry! My Libby and Julia patterns both have a queen size option but that's the larges I've written.
DeleteI love this pattern. Can it be made with fat quarters?
