The collection is by Valori Wells and it was inspired by the hummingbirds in her garden. They really shine in this collection and the colors are bright and happy.
I did make one change to the original pattern - I made the background fabrics scrappy. This seemed like it would be fun and I wanted to use as many prints from the collection as possible. I love how it turned out!
Murmur is Valori's 41st fabric collection (amazing!) and it is beautiful.
FreeSpirit Fabrics has generously offered to giveaway a bundle of Murmur fabrics. Head over to my Instagram account and make a comment on my post to enter for a chance to win.
Follow along with the rest of the Murmur tour to see what everyone else is doing with this fabric collection.

This IS a beautiful line of fabric! I like the scrappy background squares. I am starting my cutting today - after making color maps, dithering, repeat... - for my Tessa and have settled on batiks - fingers crossed! Thanks for a graphic and pleasing pattern!
