I have a new pattern to share with you today, this is the Hazel Quilt! I get really excited to share any new pattern, but this is one that I know I am going to make over and over again and I hope that you love it as much as I do.
It works SO WELL with so many different fabrics and it just sits perfectly on that line between traditional and modern. Of all of the patterns that I have made, this is probably the one that is the most me.
Also, it is pattern is fat quarter friendly (yay!).
If you are wanting to venture out into putting together your own fabric combinations, this is a great pattern to experiment with because the consistent fabric in the flying geese really help tie the whole project together. It also works wonderfully with fabric collections - the quilt on the cover is almost completely from a single collection and I will be sharing a Warp and Weft version next week.
While none of the piecing in this pattern is difficult, it is a little puzzle-y to put together. There are no partial seams, but putting the quilt top together is a little non-traditional. None of my pattern testers had trouble with it, but they universally agreed that this is more of an ambitious beginner to intermediate level pattern.
