A Scrappy, Rainbow Judy Quilt

While I would consider almost all quilts that I make to be fun, there is a difference between a normal "fun" project and a "just for fun" project. This scrappy rainbow version of the Judy Quilt Pattern was the latter.

One of the things that I love most about quilting is the idea that whenever I want I can make whatever I want. This doesn't happen that often because I've got stuff that has got to get done, but it makes those times when it does happen even more special. I have been trying to make more rainbow quilts and more baby quilts lately because they usually are "just for fun" projects.

One of my goals is to make a rainbow version of all of my patterns - check out these links to all of the ones I have made so far.

Quite a few of them have been checked off the list, but did you know I have released 43 patterns? I have a ways to go.

Since I decided that I wanted this to be a FUN! project, I tried to incorporate as many I-Spy fabrics as I could. My stash has fewer of these than it once did since I have used them up and they seem to be a little trickier to find.

My goal was to stick to fabrics from my stash and to use a fun, but lighter value, Fabric A and then a coordinating, but darker value, Fabric B to outline it. For the smaller plus shapes (Fabric C) I tried to stick to darker valued fabrics. Fabric D is RSS Grid (and let me give you a heads up without revealing anything I'm not supposed to - if you like this print, go buy some because it might get tricky to find!).

This was definitely a fun one to make - obviously I like making this quick pattern because I have now made 5 of them (see here, here, here, and here).

If you would like to make your own version of the Judy Quilt, you can pick up a copy of the pattern in the shop.
