The Taylor Quilt - Tula Pink Version

A while back, I made this quilt using a fat quarter bundle of Tula Pink True Colors prints. Since I had way more fat quarters than I needed, I had quite a bit of fabric leftover and it was just what I needed to make a super fun, bright version of my new Taylor Quilt Pattern.

Because I was using scraps, I did have to make a few adjustments - notice there are a couple of places where I subbed in solids and a couple where I made the blocks a little scrappier - but it worked out ok. Tula Pink's fabrics always pack a lot of punch and I love how bright and happy they are here.

I kept things as rainbow-y as I could considering I had limited fabric left. A couple years ago, I picked up this Fairy Dust print in Cotton Candy. It is from her Pinkerville line, but there are several different color variations of the print in her True Colors collection.

For the backing fabric, I felt like this was worth splurging on something new even though I had a couple of options in my stash that would have worked. I bought this wideback print and it is just AMAZING.

The binding is a coral solid from my stash - it's Cotton Couture in Shell. Tula has her own line of solids and I would have used one of those if I had any on hand, but I only had scraps. This pattern would actually be really fun made just in her solids.
