The fabric strips are still big enough to show off your fabric (these fabrics are from Kimberly Kight's Liana collection) but the blocks are still small enough to make this quilt just right for baby size (39" x 49").
Once I had scaled the pattern down to baby size, I attempted to scale it up - the math worked out so nicely for twin and queen size as well. It is satisfying when things work out nicely like that.
The background fabric for this quilt is my current favorite solid - Designer Essential Solids in Natural. Normally I'm more of a bright white kind of person, but I have used this shade in several of my last quilts and love that it works well with both cooler and warmer colors.
The backing fabric is an older Lotta Jansdotter print that I have had in my stash for a long time. My stash of baby size backing fabrics is embarrassingly large so it was nice to actually use one. I keep telling myself I need to make more baby quilts and there just aren't enough hours in the day!
If you would like to make your own version of the Eliza Quilt Pattern (now in baby, lap, twin, AND queen size!) you can pick up a copy in the shop.
