Cozy Up - Quilt Ideas

As fun as it would be to make a quilt with every new fabric collection that I love, there just isn't enough time! Instead, I am going to try out doing a weekly (or every other week) post with mockups of a popular fabric collection using my patterns. If there is a particular collection that you would like to see mocked up - let me know!

A Penny Quilt for a Teacher

This week I am using Cozy Up by Corey Yoder for Moda.  This is a fall collection and the leaves are just starting to turn here in Oregon so it seemed like excellent timing. I have mocked up the collection using three different patterns - it was a lot of fun to work with!

This pattern uses a combination of fat quarters and 1/3 yard cuts

It is so interesting to see how different fabrics can change a pattern but also how different patterns can change the fabric. Which one is your favorite?

  1. I like them all but I love the Hazel mockup. Now I have to go buy a fat quarter bundle of Cozy Up and make it.

    1. Oh I am jealous that you get to make it! That is one of my favorite of my own patterns and wish I had time to put one together right now.

  2. Thank you! This is a great idea. I hope you continue. I have such a hard time looking at a pattern and then picking the right fabric line. This will be so helpful. A Christmas collection in traditional colors would be wonderful.
