The Hazel Quilt in Garden of Opulence

A while back, I made this Hazel Quilt using Garden of Opulence by Bari J for Art Gallery Fabrics for their lookbook and then I forgot to share it!

Hazel in Garden of Opulence

This is one of my favorite patterns to make and this is the first time I have made the quilt using a dark background, so that was a fun change.

4 Days of 40% Off - The Hazel Quilt

Today's 40% off PDF pattern is the Hazel Quilt!

The Hazel Quilt Pattern - Kitchen Table Quilting

This is a fun one and the construction isn't as tricky as you might think. If you have made the Violet Quilt Pattern, it is constructed in a very similar way.

It is also one of my favorite quilts to mockup collections with because it works well with lots of different fabric combinations.

Quilt Ideas - Starry

You might have noticed (since I have used it several times in mockups of the past few months and once in an actual quilt) that I am a huge fan of Starry by Alexia Abegg for Ruby Star Society

I love it so much that I thought it deserved its own Quilt Ideas post. I am going to repost some of the older mockups for you here, but I also have a few new ones so this post is going to be extra long.

How to Make Any Pattern a Valentine's Quilt

You guys know that I am not generally a big fan of holiday-type quilts. I have made a few (see here, here, here, and here) and I have found that I would usually rather use a non-holiday themed pattern paired with holiday prints.

The August Quilt in Pinks and Purples - Kitchen Table Quilting

So this week instead of doing a Quilt Ideas post using a single collection, I am going to show you some non-holiday patterns mocked up in some Valentine's prints.

The Hazel Quilt in Warp & Weft (again)

A while back, I made a version of my Hazel Quilt pattern in the original Warp & Weft prints (you can see it here). Warp & Weft is an absolutely gorgeous collection by Alexia Abegg for Ruby Star Society - not only are the colors beautiful, but the fabrics are woven so they are wonderfully soft and the texture is just amazing. Honestly, I don't think I can overstate how much I really, really love the fabrics.

So when I had the opportunity make a version featuring the new Heirloom prints in the collection, I said yes immediately. The new prints are a little more large scale and have more of a plaid vibe (which is why they were perfect in this version of the Plaid-ish quilt I made with my leftovers).
