Field Study Charm Lap Quilt

For the longest time I have had several charm packs from Anna Maria Horner's Field Study collection sitting on my shelf.  This is definitely my favorite of all of her collections and I was a little reluctant to use the fabric, but it wasn't doing me any good on the shelf.

The feathers are my favorite, especially the orange ones.  I think one of the reasons why I love this collection is because it looks good together, but many of the prints are versatile and mix well with other collections. I had just enough fabric to make a lap sized quilt; this one finishes up a 54" x 65."

The backing is another Field Study print and the binding is Kona Navy, sewn onto the back with Perle Cotton. For the quilting I did a cross hatch since it is my favorite and I think it makes the quilt so nice and drapey.
