Deep Blue Sea Tutorial Update

Deep Blue Sea Quilt Tutorial - Kitchen Table Quilting
Back in 2014 I wrote a tutorial for my Deep Blue Sea Quilt baby quilt. The link to the template download has periodically stopped working and I have had to update it every year or so. In order to save myself some time in the future, I moved the tutorial into a PDF and added it to my shop (for free) along with the templates

The PDF contains the photos and text from the original 2014 blog post, but I have added fabric requirements and put them (along with the cutting instructions) into a table so they are a little easier to read. I also corrected a couple of typos. The templates download as a separate PDF file and I have added a 1" square to them to help you make sure that they have printed the correct size.

  2. Yes - this is such a fun pattern, and I so appreciate your generosity! I made this as a gift for a baby boy a few years ago, and I hope to revisit it some day.

    1. That's wonderful! I actually made this quilt while trying to come up with "boy" quilt ideas - it can be hard to come up with ideas for baby boys sometimes!

  3. I love this pattern! I made one in similar colors a few years ago but used flannel fabric. It was my first time sewing curves but it turned out so nicely. I have been wanted to make on in pink flower prints also. Thank you for the pattern!
