New Pattern - The Virginia Quilt

Meet the Virginia Quilt

The Virginia Quilt Pattern - Kitchen Table Quilting

The pattern is fat quarter friendly 👏 and it has instructions for baby, lap, twin, queen, AND king sizes. Yes, it is my first king size pattern.

There are two options in the pattern:
  • More Efficient - This option uses a fat quarter very efficiently to make your quilt with minimal waste.
  • More Variety - This is the version on the cover - it uses lots of prints for a scrappier feel. While you could use a fat quarter bundle for this one, you will have some leftover scraps. This is the perfect time to use leftover fabric from other projects. I will be sharing a version later this week that I made using leftovers from 2 different projects. I love a good way to use up those scraps!

Lately I have been trying to write some patterns that highlight all of the fabrics equally - I want to see them all! Especially one that works for collections that have a wide range in colors and values.
The Virginia Quilt is really useful for showing off every fabric in a collection. It can look more traditional or more modern depending on your fabric choices.

I wrote the Virginia Quilt pattern for collections like this. It lets the fabrics shine without being distracting and having a lot of value and color gives the quilt movement - notice how your eyes move around when you look at the quilt.

Stay tuned this week for more info about the pattern - it is on sale in the shop through the end of the week!
